Potato Cheese Balls


Ingredients:

2 nos bread roughly chopped for bread crumbs

2-3 nos potatoes boiled

1/4 cup peas

1/4 cup sweet corn

1/4 cup grated carrots

1/4 cup grated paneer

2 nos green chillies

1 nos medium onion finely chopped

1 tbsp ginger/garlic paste

1/2 tsp haldi

1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder

1 tsp Tikhalal red chilli powder

2 tbsp oil

Oil for frying

Salt as per taste

18-20 cheddar cheese small cubes 

1/2 cup bread crumbs(2 nos bread roughly chopped)


Flour Batter:

2 tbsp corn flour

2 tbsp maida

salt as per taste

1/3 cup water


Recipe:

1. Boil potatoes and keep it aside.

2. Chopped and grind the breads to form the crumbs and keep it aside.

3. In a pan, heat oil. Add onions, fry till they are very soft and turns pinkish.

4. To this add ginger garlic paste. Saute for a min. Add green chillies, carrots, peas and sweet corns. Mix well.

5. Add haldi and red chilli powder. Add salt as per taste. Mix well.

6. To this now boiled potatoes. Mix well so that it is combined well into the mixture. Then finally add the grated paneer to the mixture and again mix well.

7. Remove it in a bowl and let it cool down. Then add the bread crumbs to the mixture and mix well with hands.

8. Blend the mixture coarsely to be able to roll to smooth balls. 
9. Apply oil on both the palms and take little mixture in hand and pat to form a small circle. Keep the cheese cube in between and then roll the mixture to form small balls as shown below. Keep it aside in a plate.
10. Take the kadai and heat the oil for frying.
11. As the same time take a small bowl add corn flour and maida with salt and prepare the batter.
12. In another bowl keep the bread crumbs ready.(Grind the roughly chopped breads in a blender).
13. Take one ball in a spoon and put it in flour batter. Mix it well with spoon and remove and put it in bread crumbs. Rotate the balls in the crumbs so that all sides are coated well. 
14. Do this for all the balls and keep it aside in a plate for 10-15 mins.
15. Once the oil is ready for frying, then deep fry the balls till crispy brown in color.
                                
16. Cheese Balls are ready to serve. Enjoy it alone or with tomato sauce.
