Pinwheel Paratha
2 cup wheat flour
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste
water to knead dough
ghee for roasting
Stuffing Masala:
3 big potatoes
1/2 cup green peas
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp italian seasoning
1 tsp chilli flakes
1-2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp salt
Recipe:
1. Knead using all the mentioned dough ingredients to tight and smooth dough. Cover and keep it aside for 10-15 mins.
2. Boil the potatoes along with peas. Peel the potatoes and keep it aside for cooling.
3. Once cooled, mash all the potatoes with peas and put it in the mixing bowl.
4. To the mixing bowl, add salt, black pepper powder, chilli flakes, chaat masala and italian seasoning. Add lemon juice and mix well and keep it aside.
5. Now take the prepared dough and knead it again for 2-3 more mins. Then make 2 big lemon size balls and keep rest of the dough aside.
6. Roll out both the the dough balls to large chapati comparatively thin than normal chapati.
7. Take one sheet and place it on a board. Spread the stuffing all over the sheet, end to end.
8. Place the second sheet and over the first sheet with stuffing.
9. Now spread the little oil over the second sheet, end to end and sprinkle little dry flour over it.
10. Roll them in with light hands. Seal the ends at the tip of the roll.
11. Now cut the rolled in dough to approx 2-3 inches each.
12. Take one piece at a time and give a soft press to them from all ends to give a shape of mini paratha. Do this with all the pieces and keep it aside.
13. This pinwheel paratha can be deep fried, but i prefer them to be roasted with ghee on hot tawa. This will be less oily, super soft and healthy.
14. Our Pinwheel Super Soft and Tasty Mini Paratha is ready to served. Kids will love them. Can be enjoyed with sauce however taste good along too.
